More than a half-century ago, God called a young man from his home in Australia for a ministry in Ethiopia. Hardly knowing where it would take him, he could not have imagined the journey would bring him into contact with an unusual group of men who would become his companions in the greatest of all enterprises. This resulted in taking the gospel into previously inaccessible regions, to people so fierce they would not hesitate to kill an outsider.
Warriors of Ethiopia is a record of some of those chosen men of God who left their fields, the familiarity of their culture, the security of their families and who, with Bible and water bottle in hand and confidence in their Saviour, took the message of Jesus Christ over the mountain ranges and beyond the rivers to those who had never heard of Him. It is about their conviction that people without Christ are truly and eternally lost. It is about their dedication to the One who had said, "Go! I'll be with you."
More stories of the lives and work of these Ethiopian evangelists can be found in Dick McLellan's second book, Messengers of Ethiopia.
$12.00 from the purchase of each book goes to support the work of the evangelists in Ethiopia.

Such an impressive book! Many of the stories made me weep. I wish I had the faith displayed by these evangelists and the people they reached. It was wonderful to read accounts of new believers who prayed with such faith, fully believing that God would answer their prayers. And God did, which just increased their faith. And the author is such a humble man of God, willing to do anything to serve the Lord and encourage the Ethiopan Christians. He and his wife sacrificed so much, so many comforts and conveniences, their lives really, in order to do all they could. It is truly a wonderful book. I am purchasing copies of both books for my two sons. They make great gifts as well as being so encouraging for me.
